Venue & travel / Technical tours

Thursday 30 September: see the engineering.

The conference closes with excursions to organisations at the front line of Dutch water engineering, turning two days of sessions into a day on site.

Cranes and container ships at a busy shipping port

Why a field day

The Netherlands’ water infrastructure, in person.

The programme dedicates the Thursday afternoon to excursions to relevant organisations, putting delegates inside, for example, the storm-surge defences, port systems and treatment infrastructure discussed across the two conference days. Options are being finalised with host organisations and sponsors, including partners in port operations, maritime engineering and coastal defence.
