1. Who we are

This website is operated by the Netherlands Academy of Engineering (NAE) on behalf of CAETS 2027. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit this site, register interest, or purchase a ticket, and how we use it in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What we collect

Depending on how you interact with the site, we may collect: your name and email address (registration and interest forms), organisation and country, billing details (ticket purchase), and standard technical data such as browser type and pages visited.

3. How we use it

We use your data to process registrations and ticket sales, send programme and logistics updates, issue invitation letters on request, and, with your consent, send occasional updates about CAETS 2027. We do not sell personal data to third parties.

4. Legal basis

We process your data on the basis of contract, legitimate interest (event administration and communication), and consent (optional marketing updates, which you can withdraw at any time).

5. Sharing

Data may be shared with trusted service providers supporting registration, ticketing and venue logistics, and, where required for visa support, with the information necessary for an invitation letter. We do not share your data with sponsors without your explicit consent.

6. Your rights

7. Retention

Registration and delegate data is retained for the duration of the event cycle and a reasonable period afterwards for reporting and legal purposes, then securely deleted or anonymised.
